Packages and Prices - Getting Overcharged?
Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but since discovering today that my 100mbps broadband has been delayed by another 6 - 9 months, I started looking at my options and noticed something quite interesting.
Im sure things like this have been asked on this forum lots of times before, but im just wanting to get some clarification from everyone on here.
My current virgin package is as follows:
XXL Broadband (50mb)
XL TV (One Virgin V+ Box)
XL Phone
Service Charges: £58.31
Including Line Rental: £72.21
I have been looking at the Virgin Website and can see that the Premier Collection is £58.90 Including Line Rental for:
60MB Broadband
175 TV Channels (same as I have now), but with a 1TB TIVO and an Extra HD Box
Talk Weekends.
From looking at other parts of the Website it appears that going from 60mb to 100mb costs £7 extra a month
and
Going from Talk weekends to talk unlimited costs an extra £3.40 a month.
This means if I take the Premier Collection and upgrade the broadband to 100MB and the Phone to talk unlimited the total would be £69.30 a month with an Extra HD Box and 100mbps broadband instead of 50MB broadband which will still get the 120MB upgrade.
Does this seem logical / likely to happen if I phone them or am I being a tad loopy with the numbers here?
