Speed test sites don't really mean much. Now, at 11:05 pm it's saying 9.75mb because people have gone to bed and not using the net. I tried a variety of speed test sites between 5pm and 9pm and I was lucky if the speed test site itself wanted to load let alone if the actual test worked. So, it's definitely congestion.

I shall sort it when I have some time. It has only just started happening this last week or so, so it may be a balancing issue and resolve itself. If it doesn't then I'll contact VM and have a word.

I was looking at upgrading early a few months ago but was put off by the superhub issues and not being able to use it solely as a modem without a work around. I see a new firmware has added this option so I'll probably look into upgrading now.

edit: forgot to add that my connection went down for a short while yesterday afternoon and I had very few issues later in the evening.
