Yes, correct 'providing' the switches have intelligence, as some are just 'dumb' and broadcast the traffic to all ports at once, including the S'Hub. I think intelligent switches also learn as they are being used, is that correct?
No. All switches are "intelligent" in that sense. That's the definition of a switch.
A "dumb" switch is not a switch. It's a hub, and hubs have been outdated for the last decade.
