My new superhub thoughts/problems /advice
Just got my new superhub today upgrading my old ambit ..
firstly i will say that it was an absolute doddle to actually set it up and get it all working (really thought it would be painful)
but then ! although it worked(ish) it was now really really slow, from my old rock solid 20MB to now 1-3MB, ping times 150+ and packet loss agogo ...
so after taking advise put it into modem only mode , reset it and now ...
wooowwzer take a look see

Re: My new superhub thoughts/problems /advice
The login IP changes in Modem mode, from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.100.1.
While its in modem mode, use 192.168.100.1 to log in.

now its through router the downstream seems maxed out at 30-32MB compared to 63-64MB direct .. is this expected ? is there any way of splitting network feed to 3 devices without losing out speed ? i have seen splitter units for sale but all seem to have only 2 outs :-(

Re: My new superhub thoughts/problems /advice
Depends on the router WAN to LAN throughput. An old router might not cut it at 60 meg.
That SH really is a piece of junk when not in modem mode.

Re: My new superhub thoughts/problems /advice
You've linked to a switch and your netgear is a wireless router so no it won't work as a direct replacement.

Re: My new superhub thoughts/problems /advice
Got my super hub a couple of weeks ago and overthe last couple of days lost my wireless connection to my laptop., phoned faults this morning and much to my surprise I got someone who was extremely helpful and with the aid oif remote assistance got my wirele4ss back up and running very quickly. Such a positive response really pleased me as on the few other occassions I have contacted Faults it has, allegedly, been my equipment that was at fault. I just want to acknowledge the positive help I got this morning

Re: My new superhub thoughts/problems /advice
I had that happening on my shub quite frequently that it just randomly stopped routing any wireless traffic but was fine for wired connections, in the end that was one of the main reasons why I decided to stick it in modem mode and get another router to do the routing/wireless part....
Its like night and day to be honest how much more stable and better signal too, I know there will be a lot of people coming to say I never had any problems with the Superhub but imho it just isn't stable enough maybe the upcoming firmware will sort it out or at least help with the issues. But for me its just not good enough as it is now so my recommendation to you is to get it in modem mode and use another device to do the routing part.

Your shub:
thoughts: you are screwed
problems: too many to list
advise: keep it in modem mode and by yourself a proper router
