Re: download speeds at night

ring up and get a new shub dude. Those power levels are fine and if you cant pull 10mbit when youj are load balancing across 5 channels then there is something very wrong. I have no probs getting 100mbit and I am only using 4 channels.

no but the SH can. if you log in to your SH settings.. 192.168.100.1 and then click on the 3rd box (device connection status) up top it will your activity summary. click reset then let it clock up during whatever period you wish. just a word of warning if you power down, turn the SH off/on or it resets/reboots those figures will reset.

Re: download speeds at night

If you can hit 10mbit in the morning then it is a congestion issue. It is one thing if you couldnt get 100mbit but it is a sad state of affairs if your area is so over subscribed that you cant get 10mbit out of 5 channels (275mbit)

Re: download speeds at night

your on the docsis3 network. capacity will have to be added to handle the load. you should see capacity being upgraded anytime now until the end of your ETA,

keep your ping monitor below active and you'll notice when capacity is upgraded.

I'm on 10m and I use one laptop and get capped at tea time (peak time). Almost every day.

I just don't use it at peak times.

When talking to customer services they should tell you if you are downloading / using more bandwidth and if your download speed gets reduced.

Peak times are normally slower even if I haven't use the service all day.

It doesn't bother me. I don't work so I can use it at full speed at 3am if I wanted to
