Re: Upload speed not upgraded?

Yes, they haven't upgraded the upstreams yet just the down.

I do hope virgin ups its upload speed to compete against BT infinity... the upload speeds are pitiful compare to it

I am sure they are sticking to 10:1 ratios, it does look poor compared to BT infinity but unless hell freezes over I am sure they will not budge from it.

I personally believe 30Mb should get 9Mb up, 60Mb should have 18Mb up and 120Mb should get 36Mb up. though as has been described in the past even with 4 20Mb upstream channels it just wouldn't have the capacity to cope with that kind of upstream offering. I am sure comcast cable in the US has a much better ratio than virgin media does.

Re: Upload speed not upgraded?

BT's top services are 330 down, 20 up or 330 down, 30 up. Compared to that, VM's ratios aren't particularly bad.

Course compared to 40/10 or 80/20, which far more people have, is another matter
