Re: 200mbps Devolo powerline adapters
It's a decent router out of the box but wireless speed is meh.
Like most consumer routers the processor is way too slow to handle the wireless properly. It'll hit up to 200mbps sustained IP throughput easily enough though if that's enough for you on a "750mbps" router...

Thanks qas. Can you explain what you mean by 200mbps sustained IP throughput means?

Re: 200mbps Devolo powerline adapters
It means it can sustain (manage continuously) 200mbps (two hundred megabits per second) of IP (internet protocol) throughput (traffic).

I dont know the technicalities, so please forgive me if any of the details in my first post were slightly off. I can however confirm that the 'Extra Value' 200mbps value homeplugs that I'm using (mentioned before) do actually get over 100Mbps data transfer. Did a couple of tests from my Desktop which plugs into a home plug, then plugged my laptop into the superhub (homeplug downstairs goes into the shub). The best speed I got was 163Mbps. More than enough for XXL
As I said before, it does seem to completely depend on your home's wiring, I'm guessing I'm just pretty lucky here as I know some people get appalling speeds.

Re: 200mbps Devolo powerline adapters
Never had much luck with powerline adapters, had two different brands of them, MSI And Netgear
Both increased my normal pings by about 30ms, no doubt due to electrical interference
Also, both models hated thunderstorms, the last MSI one I had blew up when lightning struck some distance away.

There are a number of TP-Link models on eBuyer and none seem to be called "extra value". Getting over 100Mbps through http://www.ebuyer.com/263575-tp-link...ck-tl-pa211kit which are the first TP-Link ones on there would be very impressive as those boring technical specs specifically say as do all the others I looked at there where there is any mention of this at all. Just to make it clear - these adaptors cannot possibly exceed 100Mbps.

They dont seem to be TP-Link ones. The only picture I could find was here: http://computer-takeaway.co.uk/Netwo...twin-pack.html
eBuyer dont seem to stock them anymore. I know at the time 7dayshop also sold them. Either way, they DO get over 100mbps, and have a 10/100/1000 ethernet port on them.

Re: 200mbps Devolo powerline adapters
The 200Mbit ones only have 10/100 ports..
The 500Mbit ones have 10/100/1000 and do over 100Mbit..
