50M : Upgraded to 60M on Premier Collection

Hi There

I am currently on XXL 50Mb broadband along with XL TV and Talk Unlimited(which I don`t use).
I have just changed to the new Premier Collection which comes with 60Mb broadband. I have a seperate modem and router at the moment (which gets 60Mb) but they want to change it for a Superhub and charge me £49 for the priviledge.

My question is do I actually need the Superhub ? (the VM sales advisor was adamant I did) even though I am getting the 60Mb speed already.

I don't want to pay for a Superhub if I don't need it

Any advice would be a great help.

if you have the VMNG300 then no, you dont need a superhub

and plus if they want to force one upon you, they should be giving it you for free

Yes I have the VMNG300

that will run fine, you will need a superhub to take advantage of the downstream channel bonding, but the agent should have offered you this for free, make sure you dont pay a penny!

I rang them back but they would not budge on a free Superhub, all I got was £10 credit on my account.

Do you think a call to Retentions would help?

I wish I could but they say I need a Superhub to go onto 60Mb on the Premier Collection

thought you said you already got the 60mb upgrade? Just try retentions in that case, explain to them if they want to force you to have a piece of kit you dont need, then you definitely arent paying for it!

Yes I already get 60Mb downloads so really just want to change to the cheaper package but still get the save services
