Another person in Cardiff is having the same problem, and has been told a repair will be complete "by midnight".

Fingers crossed, but it's probably bullcrap...

Im in CF14 area, same for me all weekend. Ive had a text to say the problem is fixed, but theres no difference. Really doing my head in now.

Got through on 151! And it was a Brit who knew what he was talking about!

Tech coming out Wednesday 12-4 as the levels are all screwed, so it'll be a visit to the box in the road and my home.

Fingers crossed!!!!

He told me to claim compo after the fault is fixed.

I think they kicked something... all 4 download channels just started working! And the traffic LED is now flashing blue instead of green.

Someone close to our home was complaining about the same fault on the community fault pages. And lo-and-behold his connection was fixed at the same time as ours!

No VM reaction to the thread on those pages though.

He saw line levels wayyyy higher than that, so something is amiss... techie can solve it all I hope. He also saw 1000+ disconnections in an hour...

If you are back online then expect the tech to be cancelled as it just looks like you had an outage.

Since it takes 20-40 seconds to reconnect there's no possible way he could have seen 1000+ in an hour.

He either hasn't a clue or is making it up.

It will be T3 and T4 timeouts and they do register on the systems, mad but quite true as you can see many more in the logs, a 1000 is low in some cases, not a wind up either as it should not be possible to register such high counts on the system.
