re: Crawley Downstream channels
I thank you, and will find the DD-WRT (earlier version). All I want is a stable wireless connection. It's not even for me. Can't find the 'mad' icon!

re: Crawley Downstream channels
for ddwrt use the 14929 version, all those after that seem to have added issues to wireless and I think the dev started going over the top on experimental.

I've been running build 16785 quite stably for a year now, and it's been perfectly stable - though between 14929 and 16785 there were a few bad builds.
Currently showing several weeks uptime and a couple wireless clients connected continuously for over 100 hours without issue.

re: Crawley Downstream channels
Thanks qas. If I flash 16785 can I revert to an earlier firmware? Not very au fait with router firmware.

re: Crawley Downstream channels
well try the one qas gave you I havent tried that build but I do know all the 15xxx ones are dodgy.
for reference my 14929 has an uptime of over a year currently. 100 hours is nothing for a router :p

It's about the longest time I leave my network equipment in one place without moving or fiddling with it.

Ah, but that's because you can and you're good at it. I'm happy if the wretched thing works reliably and that's it

re: Crawley Downstream channels
how long does it roughly take for an area to be fully upgraded once channels are pushed? note Crawleys currently on 6 down with atleast 1 channel missing. ETAs April-July. My monitor shows fail! it was better when i was on 4down and a different upstream channel.
