i am assuming you have the shub in rotuer modem ie not in modem mode, if so the internal router will have the virign dns but your mac will use teh open dns and if that fails will then use teh rotuer dns which is virgins

Re: DNS
if your computer/mac is set to auto assign DNS servers, it will pick it up from the superhub
if the computer/mac is set to a specific DNS server, then it will use that one

you said you changed your mac dns server to opendns so that would be the option on your mac
ill try find teh mac command for display dns server from terminal i think it is ifconfig
---------- Post added at 13:53 ---------- Previous post was at 13:51 ----------
open terminal.app
and type
cat /etc/resolv.conf | grep nameserver
if the ip is the same as oipendns which i think is 208.something then it will be set correctly

In Preferences, select the Network pane. The active connection should display all settings, including DNS server

Re: DNS
Yeah, one flaw of the Superhub is that it does not allow you to change DNS server(s).
You could however try fooling it by setting up fake routing tables to spoof the Superhub into routing Virgin DNS to your own machine but I think some people might disapprove of the idea...

dnt see why ther ebe anything worng with spoofing as long as your not trying to gain something your not enittled to or trying to gain illegal access, sppofing to bypass the crap virgin dns server shouldnt be moaned at by the one who would
