What the other guy said. Superhub and VMNG300 will connect to DOCSIS 1, 2 and 3 easily, old modems and hub will connect to DOCSIS 1 2 and 3 as well, the latter in compatibility mode.

I'm confused... if it connects to DOCSIS 3 anyway, then why is it so much less congested when using the Ambit modem rather than superhub?

not all the old modem connect to docsis 3 some have bene migraed other havent it more a load blancging as i dnt think thre any pan currently to remove the old docsis 1 network but rather than have it overload with all the old tiers they move some onto the new one so that why some ambit go faster than teh superhub because ther enot on docsis 3 but the shub is, in theory the shub shouyld get full speed since it has 4 downstream comapred to the 1 from a mbit etc but in some areas there over ultisation
