Virgin - this is a bloody joke!!!

All saturday afternoon, internet completely unusable.

My router was turned off from 7pm - 4am but apart from that all the red parts are just VM being absolute tosh. This is not on.

Speed/Pingtest.net won't even load, it's that bad!

EDIT: 10 mins later managed to get pingtest to load, no luck with speedtest.net:

EDIT: finally got speedtest to work:

I'm going to phone BT tomorrow....

post your modem configs from 192.168.100.1, i think if it superhub or hub not in modem mode it is 192.168.0.1, post the power levels and snr for downstream and upstream power level

Re: Virgin - this is a bloody joke!!!

Just managed to get on. Power levels etc are all fine, it's just VM's bloody useless network. "Local upstream utilisation issue" apparently.

See my previous threads: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/12...tter-peak.html and http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/12...h-i-hadnt.html

Re: Virgin - this is a bloody joke!!!

Accidentally delete my old thinkbroadband monitor started a new one. Today my connection is really bad. I've never seen the graph like this for my connection ever. I'm sharing a live graph. I personally think its because of the superhub.

Re: Virgin - this is a bloody joke!!!

If it looks like that now it lord only knows what it will be like this evening. Although the Superhub has faults I really don't see that it can be to blame for that mess - if you aren't actively using the connection yourself then it's ovesubscription pure and simple.

Re: Virgin - this is a bloody joke!!!

The only reason i think its the superhub is because i started having issues and seeing this type of graph when i got it and activated it on friday. I would have put up the old graphs of my VMNG300 but i deleted it by mistake.

I'll ring up VM tomorrow morning and see if i can have my VMNG300 reactivated.

Re: Virgin - this is a bloody joke!!!

It really depends on how old your old graphs were. Mine area went from good to abysmal over the course of less than a week and probably a single day when VM activated a 100Mbps torrent freak. Although they sell 100Mbps if anybody actually uses it to the full the area is spannered.

This literally happened in a space of a day and 100mb is not enabled in my area yet. I cant get above 3mb upload anymore either. I use to get 4.80mb all the time
