I thought if you downgrade your speed i.e 10mb the docsis 3 modem will connect to the docsis 3 network even for 10mb.

The fat redline is where i disconnected the old (only 3 days old) for the new one.

I too downgraded to 10Mbps but with a VMNG300 as I'd already kicked the SH into touch for instability reasons - that remained on DOCSIS3 too - same IP even just a different config. They did some work on my local area and 10Mbps on DOCSIS3 is now acceptable but there is no chance I'd bother upgrading again as the TBB charts still look poor.
