Superhub firmware update includes new wireless drivers.

Yes we've already made some improvements to wireless reliability in the last R30 firmware update and the upcoming firmware includes new wireless drivers which should improve things even further. As soon as we've finished our internal testing we're planning to open up a beta test for this firmware which we'll announce on the forum.

Will this improve the superhub or not ? Discuss.

Curious, I swear I heard them preach that months ago...

Re: Superhub firmware update includes new wireless drivers.
it will probably improve but the release could be a long way away, it was a very slow process to the R30 release from R25.

Re: Superhub firmware update includes new wireless drivers.
I guess that's the beauty of proprietary SoC's and proprietary firmware...

Re: Superhub firmware update includes new wireless drivers.
But does new firmware mentioned above include the resetting of the SH to defaults? My understanding is that they've identified a condition where this occurs and a trialling a fix.

I think the condition is connecting it to VM coax and applying power.
The only thing they "fixed" in short order was the apparent problem of packet loss from pingtest.net and close off telnet access which they'd left available in error. The pingtest.net issue wasn't even a real problem and I'm convinced that all they did was turn the flood protection off regardless of the GUI setting. It took best part of a year to add modem mode to the GUI and find the memory leak in the wifi driver which made it so unstable.

Re: Superhub firmware update includes new wireless drivers.
i think it will improve the shub current poor performance but I am still not expecting it to be on par with current decent routers.
