Re: New upload speeds and Network Management

For those with the Uddingston UBR check your modems some areas have the upload speed upped.

EDIT: Noticed was talked about last page...

Tried a lot of speed tests... upload speed came in at 0.6mb/s on each (yes mb and not MB) but config clearly shows 3mb/s... go VM you are not finished yet >.<

And also no 100mb yet in the area either.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management

Give this a try if you have the superhub

- Access super hub configuration page.
- In the Advanced section select DMZ Host and change the MTU Size from 0 to 1487

The last 2 posts of this thread said it solved their exact problem for your info.

I guess he needs to find out how to change his MTU.

I don't think anyone has a setting of .6 milli bits per second. That's 600 millionth's of a bit per second. For 8 bit coding that's around 6 characters a day.

You jest me surely......

0.6mb/s = 600kb/s = 600/8 KB/s = 75KB/s max.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management

tried finding out information for traffic management on 60Mb, lady told me the info for 30Mb package, i explained a couple things to her, and she said she will talk to her 2nd line support to confirm any information

she came back and got information from 2nd line support who said there is currently no traffic management on speeds above 50Mb, including the new 60Mb package until the policy is updated in April.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management

Figured it out it may have been the QoS on the router, it was set for a previous speed and hasn't been changed. So turned it off, did speedtest 3mb/s, switched it on to see if it made it worse was fine at 3mb/s.

So if anyone with a VMNG300 and DIR-615, try with QoS off then on. It may fix it for you.
