Re: New upload speeds and Network Management
Does anyone know if New Malden is complete yet? I am in that area but on the business service and they might take longer to update the config files for the devices. Have residental ones been done in New Malden yet?

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management
I presume you get an email or something when your area is done ? I'm not in the habit of turning my modem on and off, in fact it stays on for months on end.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management
I am in SM4. I noticed that the availability checker also now confirms 100Mb/s is available here too which is well ahead of schedule.
So this means that the upload upgrade is also complete.
However my config is still the original 50 Mb/s down and 3 Mb/s up which is the default for the business service when an area hasn't been upgraded.
I have contacted VMB to advise them of the oversight.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management
Ah, just turned my modem off and on again, now 2Mb upload on speedtest.net !! So Croydon has been done or partially done. Mind you, only 10Mb down on a 20Mb line, that is not good. I've noticed a slowdown the last few days, very odd. My speed has been consistently fast over the last couple of years. A coincidence or not, I get the faster upload and my download is suffering
EDIT: OK, the download speed is a wireless issue, I'm getting 19.4Mb from my ethernet connected PC

Ok it looks like the upstream upgrades are complete in your area, but not the 100Mb/s upgrades yet.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management
Still no sign of the upgrades in my area. After 15 months of work, this is still the best VM can manage...

BT does this for half the price. Meh.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management
I've (finally) been upgraded to the new speeds. I'm in SM5 so i'd imagine that SM4, SM6 and the rest won't be too far behind.

Re: New upload speeds and Network Management
VM are useless. Uddingston's been a problematic area for ages and they never fixed it. It's one of the last places scheduled to receive the upgrade and that's February, which I strongly doubt they'll make. Right now I'm getting a mesely 5Mb download on a 30Mb connection.
Hopeless company. Plus they're putting up prices in April as well to cover the costs of the upcomming upgrade, which will no doubt come to Uddingston last AGAIN.
