Re: Facebook issue

I am having problems with facebook, but then the status for adsl (offnet) also says there is problems.

My internet is very very bad at the moment

Still it's only been this bad once in the last two years so on the whole I can't really complain.

p.s. I did try your link but it still didm't work, so I guess it is my problem lol[COLOR="Silver"]

Re: Facebook issue

Facebook's been up and down more often than a cheap tart's undies all day, I'm guessing they're tweaking the code or something (this is how it behaved when they did all the UI updates earlier in the year) - it'll settle over the next 24 hours or so ..... maybe .....

I just reported the issue to VM faults about 10 mins ago who were unaware of the issue.

I can visit the login page, but still unable to login using the ip addresse u have given. Seems vm are not the only isp affected. Traffic from all vm customers is being blocked acess to fb. My 3 g dongle works fine.

The web page at https://login.63.181.12/login.php?login_attempt=1 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Here are some suggestions:

Rgds.

Not surprising ... it's not a Virgin issue, why should they care?

Spurious assumption, fail ..... 3G via O2 - Problems. ADSL connection provided by PlusNet - Problems. I've been having problems with them all day, I have friends (who are on various ISPs) who have been having similar problems on and off.

Re: Facebook issue

"Apparently Facebook has hit the user limit and crashed. Or it might be some other issue but currently millions and millions of Farmville addicts are cursing as Facebook seems to be down in its entirety.

According to Downrightnow.com, Facebook has been offline for couple hours and the hundreds of millions of users around the world are missing their hourly dosage.

The downtime not only affects the site itself but a lot of its partners and sites that use Facebook to spread their word -- such as your beloved AfterDawn.com. There has been no confirmation from Facebook why the site is inaccessible but it definitely is no intended maintenance break. Hopefully, Facebook will be able to straighten out their problems soon."

Some newsaletters come in handy.
