I don't pick up people on their spelling because mine isn't very good at all.
Having said that - having a go at someone's spelling when your (the OP) is not all that good does seem a tad silly.

Apologies bud, think the phrase "missed the point" comes into play

Re: Just been crying in laughter at India tech support
I'm wondering when it became a crime to pull people up on their spelling and grammar? However I usually keep my big red teacher's biro in my pocket when wandering around the forums despite the many temptations.
I'm also wondering why the hell in this rapid high tech age some of us haven't picked up on spell checkers and cut and paste?Or even online dictionaries such as http://www.chambersharrap.co.uk/cham.../chref.py/main
I'm also wondering just how many dyslexics there truly are in the universe?Speaking as a teacher with a sister-in-law who trained in recognising and teaching the condition, dyslexia is not as common as you might think.Text speech is as hard for them as ordinary typing so hiding behind the laziness of text speech and claiming to be dyslexic is a crock.
Also if you are going to take a pop at people for their poor use of language and poor pronunciation then you had better be prepared to find that others reciprocate right back at you.

It's also amazing how many of CF members don't think that CF Mods should have any opinions on any given subject.
Nice try with the misdirection as well. It's well known that the average human mind can understand wording even when the letters are out of order. The only people who will have trouble are truly dyslexic.

Moi???
I was merely having a laugh at the thread as a whole and not at WelshChris. Considering i cant spoke proper england at the best o times and my spelling and grammar often leave much to be desired i`d have a bit o a cheek myself if i had.
Like WelshChris i myself have had two or three occasions on that phone where not just me but also the poor sod in Bangalore both ended up in stitches because of the language issues.
Edit: wait...i aint on no team
Wey hey.... :-)

And perhaps the CF team are making light of a post that aimed to make light of persons English. They are human after all.*
Maybe Chris see's the funny side of his error, after all it was funny to see the error of someone Else's and it is said we should be able to laugh at ourselves.
I'm sure if Chris feels so aggrieved he can use the report function.
If there is something to be learned here, in my opinion it would be:
he who lives by the sword dies by the sword, also, choose your words carefully you may have to eat them.
* I'm not sure about that Russ bloke

Re: Just been crying in laughter at India tech support
The books I suggested are very humourous. I'm a teacher too and I only learnt to use apostrophes and commas properly last year . Each of us have our strengths and weaknesses, mine is not literacy. I am a mathematician through and through, hence suggesting those books, which I use to help me.
Personal pops are bad, I too think the first few comments on this page were intended light heartedly but have now been take out of context a bit

Yes and its very easy to take the micky out of someone who is dyslexic like me and who was told at the age of 12. Yes as you and the other mods have proved its so easy to poke fun isnt it for a minor spelling error.

You're missing the point, nobody is laughing at you directly. Can you not see the irony in starting a thread about someone not having a good grasp of the English language yet them posting a typo at the same time?

Re: Just been crying in laughter at India tech support
To be fair, confusing flatulence and fluctuation is an order of magnitude worse than a typo, which could have been a simple mistake.
