Re: activating bb with linux!!!

hi ben, tried that (used google before posting!!) but it still says you need mac or windows based machine to activate!!! So frustrating, I can not believe this is correct with more and more machines now using linux as the OS!! Any other suggestions?

I see that the activation pages are a bit behind the times

Re: activating bb with linux!!!

Ring support on 150 from a Virgin line or 08454541111 from any other line and they will activate it over the phone. They will need her details and the MAC address from the bottom of the modem

Re: activating bb with linux!!!

oh that made me laugh, just spent over 35 minutes on the phone to the pathetic call ctr in India, got hung up on twice during the 2 calls, absolutely diabolical service from them, they should not be allowed anywhere near a phone!!!! I would get her to call from her phone, but they have not managed to get that working yet!!! Over a week since the install as well!!!

Re: activating bb with linux!!!

Do you not have a Mac or Windows laptop yourself that you could use just to activate it?

Success!!!!! after 1 and a half hours, being hung up on 3 times (by accident so they say) and 5 different people it has finally been activated.

Now how come when the call was transferred to the only UK call ctr during the hour and a half the problem was resolved within 10 minutes!!!! So much for off shore call ctrs being cost effective!!!!!
