I had the misfortune to be a PlusNet customer for a while. After a couple of months of 56k speeds on their "up to 8Mb" package I changed to cable. Best of luck to anyone who follows your recommendation.

I'm sure there are also plenty of people who were on ADSL who went to cable and after a period of appauling service changed back too. One person's experience is not typical, etc.
