Just been around a m8s who was trying to watch something via BBC iplayer and it was running v badly...asked him what speed VM BB he was on
he's on 10Mb and paying £25 (+ £5 charge for non DD) a month (he's been with VM in one form for 8 years +)
told him to phone VM and ask about a upgrade to 20Mb, told him that IMO he shouldn't be paying anymore than he is already for 20Mb
he only has VM BB no TV, Phone etc
phoned VM Support talked to 3 different people who all told him that he couldn't have 20Mb at same price he is currently paying for 10Mb
So he gets grumply phones retentions, they reduce the price to £19.99 a month and promise to send him a new modem, his old one came out of the ark...but they said that he couldn't have 20Mb unless he pays £27
still seems a bit steep to me, can anyone in the know please confirm this is all about right
I was under the impression 10mb was £14.99 a month now anyway (if you have a phone line aswell). If you don't have a phone line, they do charge more, so if he hasn't got a phone line, this is probably right.
Thanks BenMcr, have let him know, told him he could prob get price down by going over to VM phone and paying DD but seems he had a bad experience with VM and DD, and he's happy with his BT phone, have done my best
