Slow Speeds!!!

I am in the DN34 area and have had speed issues for a while now.

So this evening i decdied to give tech support a call!!!

WHen i finally got through we ran a couple of speed test including the one on this site and one on fuller.zen.co.uk.

Now they both came back at around 5Mbs, the tech person told me this was because of packet loss outside the VM Network!!! When i tried explaining the the test on here comes from with the network he just ignored me and repeated that all was fine, and that maybe i need to ring the PC support line!!!!

Does anyone know when is the best time to get so speak to a call centre in the UK?

What is my best course of action now??

My seed on vm has always been good,been with them 3yrs but lately as in last month or so its been all over the place plus constant disconnections...

Hey! been looking on forum for a few months now, but never had any problems to report. well, have a problem with internet, well quite a bit problem. it doesnt work. i found the log for the modem, and i keep getting the message "No raging response received." and that the modem is "unready". i rang the service support line and said theres no problems in my area. rang VM, got through to India and they told me that work in kent is my problem, i find this hard to beleive as i know many people within my local community with Virgin Media, and their internet connection is fine! i am also miles away from Kent, in Sutton Coldfield (North Birmingham). Could somebody please give me some assistance. thanks

Hey

Finally got to speak to someone in the UK last night and they argreed that it was very odd!!!

They are sending me out a new modem to see if that fixes the problem.

What they said though mirrored what u said!!! I am at a loss !!!!
