What is your favourite cable modem?

Just a general feel or a silly question.

Any folks have a preference for a particular cable modem?

Mine is currently a Motorola SB5100 which is going strong for 5 years.

Ditto much better and more stable than than the newer models.

I even have the first cable modem to offer inbuilt wireless B capability within my SACM collection. This model is extremely rare.

Now, I feel sorry for the person to have this cable modem, the sight of that CM would give anyone an epileptic fit!

Personally I like th EPC2100 because it is a small black box with green lights and is almost the same size as my router (a small black box with green lights), they look good together.

However am glad the VM supplied router is white because it makes it easier to differentiate, instead of saying 'router' or 'modem' you can say 'white box' or 'black box' and people understand a bit better which is which.

I could live with the Orange one - if I had an orange router...
