Ok I'm confussed.com as they're doing one thing and saying another but I guess that doesn't shock anyone. Perhaps the quoted info is out of date.

Just rang customer services as i had a question and the lass didnt have a clue telling me its not available yet (nationwide) and is only in trials blah blah blah
Told her it was available in some areas on the website and she still was having none of it.

Interesting time they choose to launch, wonder if they'll be able to get all of the modems out to users that subscribe before the holidays

They won't because this is engineer attended install only, not self install until sometime in 2009 to ensure that it gets the correct levels set etc to make it work properly.

Probably bad for customers but good for Virgin, Christmas is a time when people are most liable to put their hands in the pockets "50meg for the kids for Christmas" etc. But 50meg isn't just for Christmas as the saying goes . However on the basis of what BBB says I doubt most people will get it before Christmas even if they sign up now.

Re: Virgin's 50Mb broadband arriving December 15?
Reading on the site it's £35 (xxl) + £11 (phone line) Or £51 just for the BB. So going by that your better off getting a phone line and not using it?
