Installation man said he will fit a new cable. He's gone!!
The man came today to install the VM services and said the box was damaged. (The box for broadband and tv). He said he will come back to fix a new cable, because that was damaged as well. It has been 4 hours, is this normal or should I call VM cus Service?

No harm, id give them a call. Whats damaged the cable from the street to your house?, or the cable from the outside box on the wall into your house?. If its the cable from the street to your house he wont be coming back today. Thats another set of blokes to lay that.

Give Virgin a call, they will be able to speak to the Area Manager and the tech to find out what is going on

The tech should of changed it when he was there or if he did not have time book it in for another day this should of been done with you so can tell them what day is good for you

You said it was a install guy that came to your house he should of done it there and then as this is what they are paid for .I would chase this up if i was you

well I cant because I am not the one paying for the services. My girlfriend is. She said if dey didnt fix it, she will just cancel it. And I was excited 4 that internet since January. If there was a non BT ISP apart from T-mob I wouldn't be going through all this.

It may still be worth a call even if you are not the direct acount holder. I have in the past sorted out relatives issues at their properties by phoning up and stating I am calling on behalf of the account holder; they will ask some security questions such as what services are on the account, what payment method is used for the account - if you know these the call staff will be happy to sort things out for you - or so I have found in the past. Something such as getting the install sorted out should be covered with no problems, it isnt as if you are making an account change. Give it a whirl, the worst that can happen is that they will say "sorry, we cannot help you, sir; as you are not the account holder". Just make sure you tell them you are acting as proxy to begin with.
