Using registration CD on a new PC
I have a new computer using Windows Vista Home Premium, I cannot get my Telewest Broadband disc to load up on it to enable my cable Broadband to set up.
Has anyone any answers to enable this.
Thank you.

Re: Pintree

Re: Pintree
 to the forums.
As David says, you don't need the registration disc if you have set up before at your property on a different computer.
Switch off modem. Plug into new computer, switch on modem and you should be fine.

The old Telewest disk is not compatible with Vista, nor is it required, all you need to do is connect your modem to the computer, power it up, switch on your computer and open a web page, then set your homepage.
USB will not work with Vista as you are unable to get the drivers off the CD due to the compatibility issues.

Re: Using registration CD on a new PC
Forget the disc, and definitely don't use the USB method. I forget the URI for the auto registration page without the disc, but someone here should know it by heart.

The Autoreg page no longer exists on the network.
The new page is http://act2.virginmedia.com/ for both EX-NTL and EX-Telewest customers, if you try to use the installation disk you will be redirected here.
