dropping connection every few minutes!

hello all.

I have posted about this problem before but am unfortunately no further on!

I need help. I am on the 4mg packege with virgin in Birmingham. I am connecting direct through a brand new modem supplied by virgin to try to solve this problem.

The connection is fine and then when you try to navigate to a new page it my pc displays server not found or cannot connect. I have tried with both IE and fire fox with the same results.

The same thing also happends when I am playing my PS3 online. The connection will just drop and i will be unable to connect to playstation online.

I have watched my modem while the problem occurs. everything is fine, pc, send, and recieve light flashing then the recieve light goes dead and the connection is lost.

A power cycle sometimes clears the problem but not always.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

regards
paul

Re: dropping connection every few minutes!

Please don't open multiple threads for the same issue, it makes it difficult for people to see what you've already tried and what help/advice you've already received.

Your original thread was here: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/12...onnection.html
