For the record I have offered one of the 'big hitters' in the Phorm thread to call me so we can discuss the matter no the phone but has so far not replied to me. It's important to note we have no interest in silencing legitimate debate, as has been implied in some of the PMs I've received.

Please note (for the seond or third time) we are not silencing the debate on Phorm, but something needed to be done about that thread.

I am in the process of sorting out a new thread on Phorm....

Well if you are streamlining all content/links into a more manageable thread that would be very much appreciated, after all the thread has been instrumental in a lot of coordinated effort against Phorm and BTs secrecy, effort that could otherwise not have been achievable by any one individual against such big adament companies. Links especially with reference to the original thread which I hope will remain here historically for reference... but that is one undertaking. Good luck.

Re: DPI, Phorm, Webwise subthread for all things OT BR

The original thread will remain in view. Buried in there somewhere is useful information that should always be retained. Thus it can always be linked to from wherever.

But as for any replacement discussion, wait and see. I doubt anyone has the time or stamina to work their way through it to pull out salient information.

Yes there was Rob ,its right there, on the thread title for all things OT BR as relates to Phorm , the Protest, and DPI tech etc, so as not to get the main thread closed 2 days before the protest, and nullyfy all the time and effort of collecting all the people interested in the subject to the Cable forum, but that was a bust obviously.....

my very first post makes it clear enough "..just so its clear , i make this a nothing is OT here (subject to generic forum rules OC) as long as it in some way relates to fighting this world DPI/tech interception for profit intrusion.

OT posts are good for taking and bringing to light new avenues to explore so go to it...."

the CF membership (and far more Guests visiting)has grown a lot since I started collecting all interested partys here, and its a shame the main thread is deemed closed now before any action that the protest might bring is known , and anyone with a Phorm/DPI interest thats now used to comeing here has no reason to to do so anymore.

just what BT/VM/CPW and Phorm wanted to happen infact

if all the OT stuff were moved to this thread or another related one, then i cant see a problem keeping the old one going too...

I've had the same problem. I've checked my junk folder and it's not there either but maybe things are just running slow? Maybe a lot of users are trying to sign up at the minute?

BTW - maybe I'm just blind but it took me ages to find the link to register. For some reason I was expecting it to be somewhere at the top or bottom of the forum pages rather than in the sidebar.

I suggest if people want to be able to carry on posting that they calm down and think before they speak.
