Not finding certain internet pages after utorrent crash

I left my pc on last night and was using utorrent. I use Vista as XP seemed to crash when i lost connection and blue screen my pc. The last 2 nights Vista has recovered from a blue screen when i get to it in the morning. The crash happens at a random time during the night. Utorrent is running with limited connections and ul/dl settings that i have specified so as not to bring in STM.

When i got on the pc this morning i restarted and when i went on to the net half my pages could not be found and timed out. This forum is one site that will no longer work (i am now at work typing this), ebay times out as does my bank but other forum sites work fine.

What is going on? Can VM cripple me in some way regarding my surfing? I just can't get utorrent to run constantly anymore. And now i have the after effect of losing some websites!

I can't access about half my pages this morning - computer off all night so no downloading throttle- I think it's a VM problem as it's happening to both computers.

Sorry - just noticed your reference to banks. I've tried the three that I use online and none of them will load.

if your machine is blue screening then something is screwed up and that needs to be sorted out, its possible its causing issues with the network connection and tcp/ip

if you reboot the modem does it start to work?
