Re: What Do You Think About Your VM Internet Connection?
20Mb, wow so super fast at times it feels like it's going backwards............probably is.
1. never get anything over 10mb when d/ling frome newsgroups
2. ever since 20Mb was rolled out my gaming pings have gone up, today was spiking upto 140ms on my clans uk server that i normally ping at 30-40.
3. browsing has become a real pain in the ass. it's slowed down so much, especially since that major outage the other week. even changing proxies doesn't work much.
at the moment it's only slightly better than a pile of poooooooh, just hope vm get their fingers out of the proverbial ass and start to get things sorted.

Re: What Do You Think About Your VM Internet Connection?
From a previous post on this forum
I have had crap broadband for nearly 5 months so i have done the following and will know by the end of this week if i will still be using VM or not.
Contacted customer service and Tech support and logged ALL calls
Have had 5 tech calls where they admitted they can do nothing due to over subscription.
Have had 4 network engineer calls where they admit they need to upgrade the area due to over subscription.
Made a complaint direct to the CEO's office. That got things moving.
Had a Senior complaints Manager involved
They are going to do work on my area on the night of the 2nd to fix the problem. If that does not fix it then its goodbye VM for ALL services from next week.
At the moment i have the slowband for free yes you have read that right FREE. That is because they gave me a credit due to the problems they have admitted to, at no time did i ask for it. I have been promised that work will be done after the 2nd to fix it, If its not then i will go else where. I would sooner pay and get a good connection than be bribed and still get a **** connection. If i leave they will loose all of my services not just the slowband.

Re: What Do You Think About Your VM Internet Connection?
I voted 4MB-good, although it has gone off on a couple of occasions recently for a few hours, so has half the southeast, it's pretty reliable.

Re: What Do You Think About Your VM Internet Connection?
20M and excellent.
In the 7+ years I've had VM/NTL BB, I could count the outages on one hand, and my speeds have always been good.
