was it me or did the DNS go down ?

Hi,

Within the last hour did the DNS servers go down, as I was unable to get email, ping, traceroute, browsers etc..., even tried via proxy I could get to some sites by IP. I rebooted everything etc...

But it fine now

Re: was it me or did the DNS go down ?

Have you tried using openDNS instead of the VM nameservers?

Re: was it me or did the DNS go down ?

Were not going to argue about this over three threads. Don't post in all caps, if you do we'll start deleting the posts, until we get bored of that and delete you instead. To correct another post of yours, this isn't a democratic forum, its a dictatorship, we set rules and you obey them, otherwise we remove you. Simple as that.

I won't post a full answer here, but in any internet text based communication (email, IM, forums etc), all caps is considered shouting.
