How much can you dl
Simple question really i know they say there is no limit but what can you really download a month, maybe some on 20meg can post there usage, i just signed up and loving the speeds but just want to know what to expect.

Theoretically it could be possible to download in the order of 5000GB/mth assuming 20Mb/s and 8 hours/day shaping at 5Mb/s, I wonder if anyone's going to admit getting anywhere close to that???

I download around 500GB a month, Don't usually keep track. I like to max out my 20meg connection get my moneys worth. Well worth it IMO.

There is always the other side to that argument: If you don't use it you will lose it. For example if people are happy to pay £37 pm for a 20mb connection & only use 5gb of bandwidth & it was to be a majority of users, VM in there strange way would assume they could force everyone to a cap of 5gb. I personally applaud anyone who downloads as much as they can for helping keep caps out of the system |

well what's he supposed to think ... ok i pay £37 a month for 20mb but i'll use it likes its 4mbps .... come on get real, i have 20mbps and like to get my moneys worth too!
I also have a O2 8mbps connection that runs at 5mbps but is actually less laggy and is quicker at loading sites than Virgin.

Whats the point in having a fast connection if you are not going to take full advantage of it?
Totally pointless me paying for 20meg just browse or download the odd thing, I can do that on 2meg or even dial up. |

Changes from month to month, although a few months ago I bought 2 new 400gb external Hard drives and in the first month they were both filled, so bout 750ish Id say!

get a du meter and keep your pc/laptop on 24/7, you might just surprise yourself one day when you check your weekly/monthly report. too bad there's no 'TB' in the software.......
