Unhappy High Latency Recently

I've been noticing a very high latency recently, used to be around 80, now about 400

Any insight into why?

Re: High Latency Recently

You are getting exactly the same problem as me here.

I was first told that I was being routed through the London Stock exchange and they dont know why.

Next time I rank I asked to be rerouted, and was told its not possible - it will go away in a couple of days.

The next phonecall I got through to someone who told me there were some network problems and it should be cleared up soon. He also told me he had ordered a new modem for me which would be there in 2/3 days - over a week now and no modem.

The next phonecall I actually got through to someone in the UK. She got here manager to ring me back who told me she would put me through to tachnical and I should ask to speak to a manager who could transfer me to second line support in the UK.
She actually put me throu to India who told me speaking to a manager was not possible - and there werent any network problems.

Its now nearly 2 weeks and I have just been lied to, put through to support staff who admit they cannot help, or dont even know what latency is.

This is causing me serious problems for remote administration and gaming and I feel like I am being pushed by Virgin to find a new ISP.

If anyone has any more info about this I would be grateful.
