Hi. I upgraded from 2mb to 4mb on Saturday morning, rebooted the modem but since then, no service at all. I called the 25p per minute helpline and was told that my account was still showing a dial up service and not broadband, even though I switched several years ago and have been paying for the service ever since! I was advised to ring 150 and ask them to put it right, which I did, but the rep didn't seem to have a clue and simply told me to wait for 24 hours.
Called back on Monday and managed to get the UK call centre. The rep in CS seemed to know what they were talking about. Seems our broadband service was disconnected rather than upgraded!

Reconnection via the helpline (again) will take up to 72 hours allegedly. CS promised a £5 credit to the account to cover the call to the helpline & the techie suggested I ring CS (again) to request a credit for the loss of service.
EDIT: Internet connection now restored at 14:30 Tuesday so without a service for getting on for 80 hours.
