Re: Level 1 upgraded to Level 2

Well, Well, Well,

My story goes on and on.

The re-pull guys came, did some checks, and said you don need a repull, lets see what we can do. Did some things, and couldnt get it any better, so booked a techie for the weekend. (Again) He came, did some funky tests (not realy but I've got to sound up beat)
Told me the fault was from the local cabinet into the Virgin network. So all the faffing around that has been goin on for weeks was a waste of time (this was a saturday) Called the oncall local network guy, who had a look, and confirmed the whole street had the issue. (not a happy bunny).

finally on the 20th December the local network engineer came to visit me at my house, as he had been trying to get hold of me. Told me that swindon is due for an upgrade in the new year, and that there is no way this side of hell freezing over that swindon will get 20Mb, purely and simply due to ver subscription of the network. The planned upgrade is due for "Feb 2008" and it involves swapping most of its 8 16 port cards with 28 port cards, wherever these magic cards are in the UBR's I think.

Also told me that the only area that wasnt hit by the network outage the other day was Swindon.

To cap it all, I had a nice guy in Retention that has kind of taken ownership of the problem, and was calling up to check on every visit booked, but even he has got bored of doing this now, he should have call on Friday, but nope no call anymore.

So all in all im not a happy bunny, but at least i know what the issue is, and that it is nothing to do with me, or my gear, and now I know this that useless call centre in Bangalore can go to hell, bloody useless call centre.
