Create Failed Status
I signed up with Virgin for their landline/broadband package and it was installed a week ago today (Monday). However, after completing online registration I was not able to access the internet. After calling tech support, they told me to turn off the modem and turn it on after two hours. This did not solve the problem, and they told me to do it again. After trying three times, they then told me that the modem was stuck in "create failed" status and I would have to wait 72 hours for it to be "re-created". After 72 hours, no broadband. I called again yesterday and was told that the "create" request did not go through, and I would have to wait 72 more hours. They were unable to tell me what actually happens when a modem is created, and had no idea why it failed the first and second times. Is there anyone at Virgin I could speak to who would actually know what is happening? Has anyone had a similar problem?

Yes! The buggers are just messing you around! Just tell them to "activate" it plain and simple and they should do it. It takes litteraly two minutes from their end.

Re: Create Failed Status
Really? I have been asking them to activate it for ages now, and all I get is a stubborn insistence that it will take 72 hours, and no I can't speak to a supervisor, and no they won't tell me what's going on.

Re: Create Failed Status
Hmm. I admit it can take a few attempts to get it activated, but once you get through to the right one, they should do it.

Re: Create Failed Status
Just say "Activate it now, or put me through to cancellations", if they put you through to cancellations, tell cancellations that the "indian support" wont activate your modem. I bet they put you through to UK support, who will have a clue.
