Poor BB speed

Last month i took the plonge and ditched sky and put all my eggs in one basket and went with virgin as they offered me the best deal.For £98 a month i got the VIP package and 2 extra boxes which i felt was a great deal.But the past week i have only been getting about 3-4meg no matter what time of the day it is.I have had an engineer out and he said its cuz ive to many boxes in the house.Only thing is that if this true why they offering50meg speed in the new yr when i can get no where near what i ment to be getting.My pc is on a wireless network but i get the same speed even if i direct connect it to a pc.PLZZZZZ i need some help

Read the forum about slow speeds. I can't say too much about anything, I'm lying low at the moment as not to give anyone an excuse for telling me off

I did read verious stuff on the forum and did try some of them out with no help to my problem

try using a tcp optimzer and was you getting 20 as you may need a new modem

if he only took the package last month i doubt a new modem is needed

I have had the modem for over a 12 month now and it is a black motorola SB5101e

im going to assume ex tw area? might be woorth getting a new moedm but it could be that the ubr you are on is over subscribed
