Virgin free dialup?

Is there a free dialup service provided by VM for the times when you have a service outage?

Lost my tv/bb today for a short while today so a free dialup number would've been handy just to check emails etc.

Cant moan I suppose, this is the first issue I've ever had in the time I've been with TW/VM

Correct however they do a free dial up as in 0800 but it has a monthly cost .

Me i use the 0845 number so i can check the status page, And then ask for a refund of my call charges

Re: Virgin free dialup?

I know there are free/low cost options out there but it's only fair that VM should provide 1 if your cable is down.

I know a previous ADSL firm I was with did.

Re: Virgin free dialup?

Actually I had a letter today that VM are discontinuing the old Freedom dial up access from March 2008. I can either go on ADSL Broadband or they will just cancel my account.

Depends what you want the internet for isnt it??

If you just pick up mail several times a day and do very little browsing why would you need anything else?
