So how's the business broadband then?

Those of you that recently upgraded to business broadband after getting low speeds, noticing any improvements?

You won't hear much from then now. they're too busy with the running of the business
How come VM let the general public have a business line now I thought it was only for businesses before?
and mor importantly can they now use their PWP for business purposes and make money from it?

Re: So how's the business broadband then?

As the business broadband uses the same network and connections as the residential, I very much doubt anyone in congested areas will see much if any improvement. For me personally, the area I'm in is great, I get full speeds all the time on either my 20MB residential or my 10MB business so have absolutely no complaints. On top of that the difference in the quality of service is like going from dial up to broadband, not sure if I've just been lucky but the support I've received is superb.

I do use my business broadband for my business and it is registered to my Ltd company and indeed they insisted I gave them business details when I signed up which I found strange having read comments on here that others hadnt been asked however I do understand the comment earlier. It does seem a little strange to be selling a business product to residential customers, however for me personally, I'm just getting rid of my residential line as I don't need the 20MB connection, rarely used the speed it gave me and the 10MB business line is good enough to run my business and my home network on so why pay twice, I have an ADSL connection here as well as a backup so I may as well save myself some money.

From my experience the service on the business line is exactly the same as on the residential, but then I get top service on both so I may not be the one you really want to hear from but got perspective there's a good side for some people.

As via your other post, oxford is extremely oversubscribed being a student area.

You may, however, get better speeds if you ask support to swap you over to another frequency/card.

As for me, i cant fault it, top notch connection, excellent support, higher priority bandwith (tested, and my routes are now different, lowering my ping/latency)

No STM, 6 hour call out, very pleased with it.

But then, until STM was rolled out, i got a perfect 10mbit, and perfect 20mbit until STM hit in, where it would drop to 2mbit and felt like 56k with sites timing out, and your routes change significantly when STM is enabled, making everything pure hell.
