Just a question about 20mbit

Why are all you people on 20mbit that report like 1mb speeds still on the 20mbit plan? Why do you not downgrade to the 2mbit or 4mbit plan? Just wondering...

Re: Just a question about 20mbit

Perhaps because they *want* the 20Mb speed eventually, and they're hoping that they can achieve it through VM.....maybe.....

Because their mates on ADSL take the mick out of them bad enough as it is. and going down to 2 or 4 will make them a laughing stock

Because for that fleeting moment in the wee small hours it does reach 18meg. Then when the sun rises and 5 or 6 users in this area log on to check their mail, Down it tumbles back to dialup with a twist of speed now and then.

At the moment i pay next to nothing for it as i get next to nothing speeds

When VM are willing to give me full speed then i will be willing to pay full whack.

i think its mainly becaue with the rollout of UK3 (DOCSIS3) we will get 50mb, and who wants to downgrade to the lower only to have it bumped up to what we have now

Re: Just a question about 20mbit

I think he means he is helping pay for the new roll out and updated hardware buy paying full whack for something he does not get, when people like me pay only £10 for 2mb and can swap within minutes to 20mb when it finally gets all sorted out……..as paying for only 2mb and getting exactly that is a bit freeloading….

Good on them paying for my future upgrade, without these people how would I get get rock solid 20 mb in a few years….please give generously.

In saying that I have a mate who has everything on Sky and pays a fortune, He has all the sport and moves and never watches them. Dam him never watched a football game in his life on TV and he has all these great sky sports games. Madness I know but it keeps the Wife happy as when he phoned up for sky he just said give me everything for the kid and the wife…..
