Re: whats my UBR?
noone think these log entries are a tad unusual?
looks to me like VM are trying to script my modem to bundle 3 which i think is the 20mb XL package, but im already on it. my modem says so.

Re: whats my UBR?
By the looks of your modem log, VM are tryin to upgrade the firmware, but as there are quite a few different cable modems on the VM network, not every firmware file "fits all" so to speak, Im pretty sure Im right here, I have seen this posted around here previously, so I would guess that would happen until they send the right firmware to your modem

The modems are locked but still try to get updates, because of this we see errors in the modem logs.

Re: whats my UBR?
right so its an automatic thing. I think i understand that, however the wording states
SW Upgrade Failed Before Download - Server not Present.
A couple of questions,
A) server not present, looks to me like there is a server missing/crashed that appears to be vital to my service.
B) if its automatic and the server isnt present, how can it try to send the update? or does the modem request it?

Re: whats my UBR?
Id have to disagree,
Define 'normal', because up to around 2 months ago i'd say my service was 'normal'
2 months of 13 with an issue such as this is, in my case, abnormal.
Just because i fall into a problem category with most others here does not mean the service is normal, I think you mean i am suffering the normal problem here.

i fully agree but at this moment in time imo the problems that you are having are happening on a national basis the service techs cannot do anything as the problems are network related witch the company wont admit to so to save myself going around in circles your service is "normal" and will hopefully cure itself the real question everybody should ask is WHEN!!

LOL
GoD im so argumentative at the moment.
I know what ure saying Piggy.
Its just that i did have a PM from someone here giving me lots and lots of infomation regarding the connection i am currently on.
I just posted to see if the issue had been "passed on" to someone who could look into things more officially, as i know this happens here.
