Internet problem

Hi there,
Not sure if this is the right place for this or not.
Anyway, for awhile now I've noticed that my router is receiving data all the time even when no computer is on and I can't seem to understand why. I am with VM and I have a D-Link DIR-655 router.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Internet problem

It does it even with the wireless off, it seems to be receiving about 100+ packets a sec. I tryed switching the computer off and still it says its receiving data. And yesterday according to VM I went over my daily limit which I don't normally do.

Also the only Internet Session that is always active according to the router is:

Local: XX.XX.XX.XXX:68 (My IP)
NAT: 68
Internet: *.*.*.*:*
Protocol: UDP
State: -
Dir: -
Priority: 128
Time Out: -

I assume thats the connection from the router to the cable modem?

Re: Internet problem

that looks like the type of stuff you get from having downloaded files using torrents - i.e. people are hitting the broadcast addy looking for a seed????
