Any reason why I'm still limited to 5MB connection?

Hi,

I'm in the G3 postcode area, and have been experiencing a slow internet connection tonight.

I'm on the 20MB package, and never had any problems with it.. tonight though, it seems to be limited to 5MB (according to all the speed test sites I've tried.. after spotting everything was downloading very slowly).

Is there a known problem in this area?

Anyone else getting the same problem??

At first I thought it was perhaps the traffic shaping kicking in.. but it's now 1am.. so I'd have thought that no longer applies.

You get shaped for 4 hours from when you exceeded the limit. So if you incurred STM at 11.55pm you get shaped until 3.55am. Also be aware, there was talk about the "peak times" being GMT? Whether this is true I have no idea but if so it means you could incur STM at any time upto 12.59:59pm with shaping applied until 4.59:59am.

Ah, that'll be it. Thanks for that. For some reason I thought the shaping only lasted an hour at a time.. no idea where I got that figure from though, as I had previously read about the 4 hour thing.
