Traffic Shaping

Hi All,
Has the traffic shaping policies changed over the last week?. Am currently on a 2meg connection and it seems it's been quartered to 512k. Anybody else experiencing the same.

Re: Traffic Shaping

Yeah i've seen the thread regarding the 20meg been quartered, but on the virgin webpage the 2meg is suppossed to be halved. Looks like it could be getting worse

Re: Traffic Shaping

could just be congestion as i've said a million times, getting slow speeds does not mean you are 'shaped'

Re: Traffic Shaping

I don't think it is congestion. It's been happening for the last few days i've tested it(downloading my limit). After 4 hours the cap is lifted and i have no problems hitting 250k. Am 99% sure this is a new traffic shaping policy.

Downloading from the above webpage. I will E-mail Virginmedia today and get them to confirm their traffic shaping policy as from 06/08/2007. I will also ask if there are any trials in the area as Wigan(Northwest) was one of the first places to be shaped
