Modem question

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question. I have one of those Terayon modems and I have noticed recently that it frequently loses connection. Is there a log anywhere on my computer that will tell me how often it drops off? Before I have to pay support for an enquiry, i wanna know some facts, I think just phoning and saying it drops off frequently would not be sufficient.

Boab

Re: Modem question

The UBR has a log and VM should also be able to see how many times it has disconnected/reconnected from their side. The modem itself has a log, but is only accessible from your side when it is is disconnected.

Good luck with the call, I got my TJ210 replaced very quickly when I got through to the right people, first line may not understand the importance of the "cable" light!

Smile Re: Modem question

You need to get this modem changed as it has known problems on a 256 qam network .
