I've been upgraded, but I'm still on 10mb - Am I missing something?

Hi, hoping someone can advise me, it's probable I've missed something simple...

I'm in Walkden and my upgrade has gone through.
I used to get about 12mb on my 10mb connection, the green box is at the bottom of the garden.
when I rebooted the modem for my upgrade my speeds went to between 19mb and 23mb....awesome.

then about 5 mins later it dropped to 10-11mb and it's sat there since.

I have done/checked the following...
  • Re-booted the modem - several times
  • re-booted my mac
  • checked my router
  • checked that the upgrade went through (via 192.168.0.1)
  • checked that my modem/router & Mac can accept more than 10/100mb connection

Yet still, nothing more than the usual...I just can't understand.
did I miss something?
I know the upgrade went through, I know my hardware can accept it, I even had it for a short while, but now I can't get higher than 12mb

odd
I appreciate any help or advice

Hi archaic,

Seems like a common thing since the 'upgrade' - I'm getting the same thing here in Brighton.

NTL are aware of this (they have a post on the service status page) but are not giving us any more info than that.

At least you're getting better performance since the upgrade - I'm down to 6Mb/s from a rock-solid 9+Mb/s :-)
