Next week I will be treating myself to a new computer.
Do I just unplug the ethernet cable from my old computer and plug it into my new one, or do I have to power cycle (off/on) the NTL100 modem as well?
You need to powercycle the modem as well. Best to turn off the modem, connect the new PC before booting it up, power on the modem then power on the new PC.
