Unhappy Sob sob sob...

OK... i'm losing the will to live. Dont know if anyone remembers the probs i had a few months ago when Virgin decided that i didnt have and had never had any services with them. Well tonight after weeks of my line bouncing, i'd had enough. Called Cancelletions/retentions to tell them that i wanted to leave and was incredibly told that the reason i'm having a problem is that i have no modem.. err well how come i'm looking at one and your engineer was the one who registered it. "oh i see you had problems a few months ago... i'll put you through to tech support..we'll refund you the call"

How can i get service sometimes and not others if i allegedly have no modem. And how come on my bill there is the charge everymonth and its says "cable modem" is there anyway i can get it corrected without having to speak to Colin in Mumbai??

Any help gratefully recieved

Re: Sob sob sob...

Unless they can sort it I would take them at their word that you " have no account " and cancel the dd.
See how long it takes them to send a threatening letter for account you do not have.
The strange thing going on at the moment regarding myself is getting bills from vm for a female at my address who I do not know, checked the bathroom for tell tale signs but nope, I definitely only have one wife!
Even though I return them unopened with " Not known at this address " they still arrive month after month.
Question for those in the know, is it possible to have two bb connections from vm in the same house? would there be a need to have more than one? although if I had two and I could guarantee the full 4mb by doing so would it still be worth shelling out £50 per month for 8mb bb?
So I am just waiting for the proverbial to hit the fan when the debt letters arrive at which point I will approach the local county court to instigate small claims proceedings.

Nope.. as far as I'm aware its not possible to have more that 1 broadband service at 1 address, but then that didnt stop them from trying to bill me for 2 or 3 BB services at my place.. (that was the last bout of problems I had!)

Re: Sob sob sob...

Dunno about Virgin and 2 connections in one house, but mebee 2 yrs ago, Blueyonder said it wouldnt be a problem, cos i enquired when my boy went on Xbox Live ....
I was gonna have 2 x 2Mb, instead of one 4mb, and the girlie i spoke to gave me prices etc ...
Youd have to ask em i spose. ...

If not, get a neighbour to sign up and run the ethernet thru the wall
Nothing is impossible. .. .. .
