Question South Warrington slow

Is there anyone else suffering from slow speeds in south Warrington - its been getting worse for the last couple of weeks - paying for 4 mb and getting well see below

2nd 512K took 8078 ms = 63.4 KB/sec, approx 522 Kbps, 0.51 Mbps
3rd 512K took 9735 ms = 52.6 KB/sec, approx 433 Kbps, 0.42 Mbps
4th 512K took 7594 ms = 67.4 KB/sec, approx 555 Kbps, 0.54 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 561 Kbps, 0.54 Mbps

A bit below the 4Mb I am supposed to be on, but it seems okay here. It doesn't feel too bad when browsing.

4th 512K took 1547 ms = 331 KB/sec, approx 2727 Kbps, 2.66 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 2918 Kbps, 2.85 Mbps

Downloading the Quake Wars beta at the moment at 8.4 meg .

I am just off Gainsborough road near Morrison's

Still painfully slow for browsing in Thelwall - but as if by magic after midnight it goes up to 3.7 Mbps - and no I haven't been downloading torrents and its the first use the pc has had all day.

Same problem here, traffic shaping for all, regardless of how little you have downloaded. VM must find it easier to throttle everyone than to "select" the alleged heavy downloaders.

But if i use this sites speed test i get this

4th 512K took 3625 ms = 141.2 KB/sec, approx 1163 Kbps, 1.14 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 1220 Kbps, 1.19 Mbps

I live just by the British Legion. I,m not joking the last few weeks browsing has been like dial up in the early evening, but a last check on ebay at midnightish sees performance back to where you would expect it for 4mb.

Glad it's not just me then (Manchester) Great 0.68 mbps. First time I have had rotten speeds for years, that makes it worse

Doesn't Warrington hang off Baguely?

I'm supposed to be on 10MB, but not been getting much more than 4 for a while. Certainly not since the proxies were switched off.
